Case stuck? We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be sped up

A case can only be sped up by legal means — and they don’t always work. So first we look at your situation and tell you honestly whether it’s worth taking action or better to wait.

How it works

  • Complaint about delay (ponaglenie). By law, the voivodeship office (urząd wojewódzki) has up to 90 days for a case. If that time has passed, you can file a complaint. But special laws now in force allow offices to take longer, so complaints are often found unjustified. They’re reviewed in Warsaw — usually in 3–4 months — and the case itself doesn’t move in the meantime.
  • Complaint to the court. The next step. The court doesn’t review your case on its merits, only the delay, but it can order the office to issue a decision within 30 days. Important: the decision will be based on the documents already in the file. If something is missing, it may be negative.

How we work

  1. We check what’s in your file: whether the documents are complete and up to date, and whether there are unanswered letters from the office. Often that’s exactly why a case is stuck, and simply adding documents helps.
  2. We honestly assess the risks and tell you whether a complaint makes sense in your case.
  3. If it does — we file a complaint about the delay, and a court complaint if needed, and follow up on the response.

Questions

Why don’t you always recommend a complaint?

Because of the special laws it often doesn’t work, and a court complaint can lead to a fast but negative decision if something is missing from the file. We’ll tell you honestly if waiting is the better option in your case.

Can I pay someone to make it faster?

No. It’s illegal, and you can lose both your money and your case. We only work through official procedures.

You didn’t file my case.

We’ll help, but first we need to know exactly what was filed. Bring all the copies and letters from the office you have.

Tell us about your case

We’ll call you back within 15 minutes and tell you where to start. No need for your passport or scans yet.
